If you are a student, and you have to travel home for the summer to cut some of the expenses your parents are paying for at the dorm rooms, then surely you have some lingering and often times conflicting thoughts that pop up every now and then in your head. Every look through the window can shoot a nostalgic thought across your mind, or you can get reminded of something while watching TV, so there is plenty to think about.
Here are some of these thoughts:
1. “I am so bored.”
2. “I miss my friends.”
3. “Were my parents always this annoying?”
4. “I forgot my plant! I hope it survives the summer...”
5. “I hope somebody is feeding the pigeons outside the dorms.”
6. “I hate using the internet to discuss TV shows and video games with my friends.”
7. “I might exercise this summer.”
8. “Finally, home-cooked meals!”
9. “I am too lazy to exercise this summer.”
10. “What day is it?”
11. “My Instagram is so boring now – it’s only me and my TV.”
12. “Should I get a pet to keep me company for the summer?”
13. “Better not, ‘cause I’ll miss Mr Whiskers when college starts.”
14. “I kind of miss lectures, at least they gave me something to do.”
15. “How long until the tedious lectures start?”
16. “I’ll try to save money.”
17. “I have to Instagram this cool expensive shirt I just bought!”
18. “Should I clean my room?”
19. “I’ll clean my room later.”
20. “Man, where is (friend name)? This video game is so boring in single player mode.”
21. “How do people survive without live gossip?”
22. “How much longer till end of summer?”
23. “Ugh, people from high school keep showing up.”
24. “I could read a ton of books this summer!”
25. “I will watch a ton of TV shows this summer!”
26. “I will play so many video games this summer!”
27. “I should reset my sleeping schedule.”
28. “ZzZzzzZZzzzzz...”
29. “Too... much... ice cream...”
30. “I should go to the beach.”
31. “I should go to a local pool.”
32. “Who is at the door? I hate leaving the couch!”
33. “Come on, Mom! You did fine all these months, why do you need my help now?”
34. “Is it time to go back to the dorms yet?”
35. “Oh, dammit. Why did summer have to end?”
