Five Steps To Packing Perfection For Moving House

Moving house is known to be a very stressful task and unless you have the skills and the know how to carry it off; you are going to be stressed to the limits with your move. House removals are definitely not a piece of cake, unfortunately. It is so critical that you get well prepared prior to relocating so that you know what you are doing and so that you have a structure to your move that will simplify it. Your move to your new home should be easy. And there is no better way to start the moving procedure than with good packing.

Packing is a task few devote much time to but it is crucial. If you haven’t much of a clue, don’t leave this page.

1. Checklist
Make a checklist of each single room, listing the items you intend to pack. Then, as you pack each box you can then tick of each box packed and move onto the next. This will give you some clarity with your move and will allow you to pack with a clear head, in an organized method.

2. Pack items according to similarity
Pack each box with items that are similar. For instance, in one box there could be bedroom items, in another fragile items, in another bathroom items and so on. You can see where this is going. Then all of your belongings will not be mixed up.

3. Use the right method
These tips might be obvious to many but it is important that your method is right. So make sure, first of all, that you pack heavier items at the bottom of each box and then pack the lighter items at the top so that nothing gets squashed. Another thing to remember is to pack plates vertically, with padding between each one so that they don’t smash. And, do not over fill any of the boxes. If you overfill them, they might break. It is best to fill them half to three quarters of the way, depending on the weight of the box.

4. Use plenty of padding
It is particularly vital that you pad out fragile item boxes and anything else that needs wrapping. You can use all sorts of wrapping materials – newspaper, tissue paper, socks, bubble wrap, cardboard and more. Use your imagination with your packing. You are bound to have things lying about your home that could come in useful when you pack your belongings. Old socks for instance, as mentioned above, prove useful. You could also put cellophane in boxes that need extra padding.

5. Don’t forget to label up
Each box must have a label clearly stating what is in it. You could write bathroom items, fragile items, clothing and so on. It is just so you know what exactly is in each box. It is very stressful arriving at your new home with boxes of unlabeled items. When you label each box, you are making moving house so much easier and stress free. House removals really don’t have to be too chaotic. Label up all of your boxes!

Make your home move a good one by ensuring you pack your items well. You will need to put aside a couple of hours or more to do it but it will be worth it in the end. Follow the guide above and you will see excellent results. There is no need for you to deal with the stress of moving if your items are packed well. So go ahead and get the packing materials in!
